The Discourse Unit functions as a trans-disciplinary space based at Manchester_Metropolitan_University. The MSc Psychology programme and PhD programme enables students to develop a 'critical' work which may or may not be explicitly directed to issues in psychology.

There are closed meetings of the Discourse Unit to discuss ongoing research projects, and open meetings to provide a forum for debate about methodological, theoretical and political issues across the human sciences.
